This syllabus builds future ready learners by focusing on practical, real-world programming, using a contemporary language and developing an understanding of current and emerging technologies.
Students build confidence in computational thinking as they study computer systems, algorithms and programming. The course places a strong emphasis on problem solving and logical thinking. Students will learn to solve problems using a computer and apply their knowledge in practical contexts. They will also explore and understand the importance of responsible, ethical and sustainable use of technology.
Provides a strong foundation for progression to the Cambridge International AS & A Level Computer Science syllabus (9618) or for careers in a rapidly evolving digital world.
